This has been one of my favorite designers for a long time. Chip Kidd has been designing book covers for over 20 years, he is employed by Knopf but has worked with many major companies including Marvel and DC. This book cover is amazing, one of the most clever conceptual designs I have ever seen. Very simple type treatment over a monochromatic image in the background. Obviously you can never go wrong with black, white, and red as your color scheme. However this cover would look good regardless of what colors he had chosen. It’s impossible to pick an image that can truly represent this man’s range of design so I implore you to check out the rest of his book covers.
