The Twilight Sad

The Twilight Sad Discography

Doing some random image searching and came across this band whom I’ve never heard of before.  I fell in love with their very distinct art vibe, and what’s really cool is that this “vibe” is persistent with all the albums.  I couldn’t find who the designer was so unfortunately I can’t give him or her credit on this post, if you happen to know who it is please drop some science in the comments below.   More covers in the click through.

Dead Throne, The Devil Wears Prada 2011

Artwork by Dan Seagrave

I’m not for sure if Dan Seagrave also designed the packaging for the cd or not, and I currently have my copy packed away so I can’t double check to see if it lists the designer in the notes or not.  (If you know please fill me in)

Read on for a video of the inside

Bikini Magazine

Bikini Magazine

Designed by ?

I really wish I could find more information about this magazine, but I can’t seem to find anything online.  I actually don’t remember where I even found this image as I saved it a long time ago.  The one small piece of information I found was a designer who interned for them named Mike Lohr, I will send him an email to see if I can dig up some more dirt on this.  Read on to see the rest of the covers I have found over the years.

The Process of Belief

Process of Belief Booklet + CD

The Process of Belief, Bad Religion 2002

Designed by Mackie Osborne

This is actually a designer I just discovered myself.  I have always admired the effort put into the Process of Belief booklet, and loved the design from the moment I bought it even before I knew anything about design.  A couple of days ago I was going through my old cd’s and picked this one out, remembering how much I enjoyed the design of the book.  That’s when to my surprise it was a designer I never was aware of that had already designed a couple different albums I already owned.

David Carson on TED

TED Lecture

David Carson

David Carson is one of the most inspiring designers to me personally.  I won’t get into a ton of detail on him, because I want to do a full on article on him when I can get my hands on some of his books.  Check out his site, looks like it hasn’t been updated in awhile but there is still a wealth of awesome designs on it.

USR website

Designed by Thomas Schostok

I was hipped to this designer from the old Fear Before the March of Flames website.  Clicked the designed by link and BAM!  I really love this guy’s work and he has a wealth of really versatile grunge / deconstructive design on his site.  The image above is one of his recent web designs, but overall I think it is a good representation of his work.  Some of his most recent work was done for CARSON magazine, which is really a perfect fit.  Anyways hit up that site, and check out all his rad stuff.
